Everyone makes fun of Jughead for singing old songs with wrong lyrics ("I left my heart in Sacramento," "Tie a purple ribbon to the old fig tree") until they discover that all those lyrics were mnemonics to help him study for a big test.
Jughead has finally fallen in love, with a woman he's never met: Betty Cracker, the woman whose picture is on boxes of cake mix. He explains to Archie why the love he has for Betty Cracker is more pure and divine than any love for a real woman.
