First issue since #96 not to display the Scooby-Doo 50th Anniversary logo. The floating-head image of Scooby-Doo is once again part of the "DC Comics Corner Box" logo - but Scooby's head is largely obscured from view by The Gremlin's green pointed ears and purple flowing mane of hair.
No editor credited in indicia. Editors are credited for the individual stories, but not for the issue overall. Printed by LSC Communications, Glasgow, KY, USA 05/15/2020 (per indicia).
This issue was scheduled for an April 2020 release, but was delayed by the effects of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Changes to cover layout: The cover price and rating are no longer part of the "DC Comics Corner Box" logo. The issue number stands alone below the words "DC Comics".
The rating has changed from "Rated E Everyone" to "Ages 8+".
The cover price and rating are now at the top of the barcode box. The barcode remains printed vertically, with the added items placed above it.

Including reprints, this issue has 22 interior pages of actual story content, up from the usual 20 such pages of recent prior issues.
All advertising in this issue is for DC or Warner product. No non-house ads or activity pages appear.

New story.
Writer Sholly Fisch makes fun wordplay of the skateboarders’ lingo:
Skateboarder 1: “Dude! That Gremlin’s INSANE!”
Skateboarder 2: “You mean you LIKE it?”
Skateboarder 1: “No, not GOOD insane! BAD insane!”
Skateboarder 2: “Oh, okay. ‘Cause otherwise, that’d be SICK!”
Skateboarder 1: “You mean GOOD sick or BAD -- Whoooaaa!”

The word "Machine's" (to properly name the Scooby gang's classic van in the possessive) has clearly been left off of the opening caption in three printings of this story - the original, an earlier reprint in Scooby-Doo Where Are You? (DC, 2010 series) #62 (Cover Date: December 2015), and in this reprint.

This story is highlighted by a two-page opening sequence where Fred continually calls the "Car Chat" show for advice after increasingly bizarre mishaps (from different briefly-glimpsed adventures) disable or wreck the Mystery Machine.
