Auro Lord of Jupiter is a series that features two distinct characters (although some sources refer to them as a single character):
First Auro (1940-1942): Created by Malcolm Kildale, Auro is similar to the jungle heroes from Jungle Comic, with influences from characters like John Carter. Stranded on Jupiter, his strength comes from the planet’s high gravity (like Carter), making him a version of Tarzan in space. First appearance is in Planet Comics (Fiction House, 1940 series) #1 (January 1940).
Second Auro (1946): Created by Dick Charles (script) and August Froehlich (art), this version of Auro resembles the heroes of Planet Comics, with a more space-faring and heroic focus. Chester Edson, a scientist, has his soul transferred into the original Auro's body, resurrecting him as a space hero. First appearance in Planet Comics #41 Planet Comics #41
