Biography:

Henry Lysing was a pen name of writer John Nanovic. He wrote text articles and stories for Street and Smith from 1942 to 1943 and for DC from 1947 to 1949.

Nanovic's writings under the Lysing pen name, both in comics and professionally, usually dealt with cryptography, in particular secret codes. He also wrote other text features as well under his own name.

As Lysing, his Code features also appeared in Street and Smith pulp titles from 1934 to 1946 and in 1949. As Nanovic he wrote other features for Street and Smith in 1944 and 1945 and for Periodical House in 1945.
