Bails' Who's Who suggested comparing the "Kress" credited as a writer for Archie in the 1990s to creator Bill Kresse. Kresse however was primarily an artist who worked at Archie during the 1960s, while this creator was a writer only.

"Kress" is actually Earl Kress, who was a writer of the same type of licensed humor characters for other publishers from the 1990s into the early 2010s.
