Biography:

Clayton Cowles is an American letterer and a member of Virtual Calligraphy's (VC) lettering studio.

Cowles graduated from the Joe Kubert School in 2009 and has been lettering comic books ever since. In addition to DC and Marvel titles such as Batman, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Star Wars, he has worked on Bitch Planet, Bitter Root, Die, Moonstruck, Redlands, The Wicked + The Divine by Image Comics.

Cowles won an Eisner award for best lettering in 2025.
