The Spirit starred in his own Sunday newspaper feature, created by Will Eisner. This feature ran in The Spirit (Register and Tribune Syndicate, 1940 series) The Spirit (Register and Tribune Syndicate, 1940 series) #6/2/1940 [Philadelphia Record] (June 2, 1940) through The Spirit (Register and Tribune Syndicate, 1940 series) #10/5/1952 (October 5, 1952). The Spirit's adventures were reprinted in Quality comics beginning with Police Comics (Quality Comics, 1941 series) #11 (September 1942).
