Name:
Jimmy Trent
|
Description:
Jimmy Trent is a radio-squad officer who was an early partner of Officer Sandy Kean. After the arrest of powerful racketeer Dan Bowers, it was revealed that Trent was on the take from Bowers when Trent committed perjury during Bowers' trial, accusing Kean of lying about evidence and making a false arrest. Although his fate is unchronicled, Trent was presumably removed from duty after Kean's name was cleared as Kean was seen with a new partner soon after.
Notes:
Created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Jimmy Trent's first confirmed appearance was in More Fun #17, and he was named in More Fun #19. Kean was previously seen with an unnamed partner in More Fun #11 that might or might not have been Trent. Jimmy Trent should not be confused with Kean's next and most well-known partner, the similarly named Larry Trent.
