Name:

    Quicksilver

Notes:

Quicksilver first appeared in National Comics (Quality Comics, 1940 series) #5 (November 1940). He was first shown as an official DC Comics character in a profile page in Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe (DC, 1985 series) #19 (September 1986). He first appeared in a DC Comics story in Young All-Stars (DC, 1987 series) #2 (July 1987).

During his original run from 1940 to 1949, Quicksilver had no secret identity. When revived in the 1990s by Mark Waid, he was given the name of Maxwell Crandall. To avoid conflict with the 1964 Marvel Comics character, Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff), he was renamed Max Mercury.
