Taneleer Tivan is one of the immortal Elders of the Universe. He has dedicated his life to collecting artifacts and living beings from throughout the universe.

Husband of Matani. Father of Carina.

Notes:

The Collector first appeared behind-the-scenes, controlling the Beetle, in The Avengers (Marvel, 1963 series) #26 (March 1966) and #27 (April 1966). His first physical appearance was in The Avengers (Marvel, 1963 series) #28 (May 1966).
