Archie Comics super-hero (sometimes villain). Alias of Bob Dickering. First super-hero to go by this name.

Bob was the husband of Thelma Gordon. They are the parents of Steve Dickering (the second Hangman). Bob is the brother of John Dickering (the original Comet).

Notes:

The Hangman first appeared in Pep Comics (Archie, 1940 series) #17 (July 1941). He died in The Comet (Archie, 1983 series) #2 (December 1983). Under unrevealed circumstances, he lived on as The Hangman until he was finally deemed worthy of ascending into Heaven, as shown in The Hangman (Archie, 2015 series) #1 (December 2015).
