Celebrate National Bike Month and National Historic Preservation Month with the City of Columbia

Find out how you can celebrate in May by checking out a calendar of events – both City- and community-sponsored – compiled by the City’s Planning Division.

City of Columbia to Host Public Works Hiring Event

Join us on May 13 for the Public Works hiring event! The City of Columbia’s Public Work’s Street Division maintains and improves the City’s infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on with asphalt, concrete and storm drainage systems, contributing directly to the City’s roads and public spaces.

Sharing the Road Public Open House

Join us May 12th and help shape programs, policies, and projects that can improve roadway safety in our community.

Inaugural Songbird Festival at Finlay Park Set for May 30th & May 31st

A new music festival is taking flight in the heart of downtown Columbia. The inaugural Songbird Festival 26 will debut Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, at Finlay Park, bringing a two-day lineup of nationally touring artists, regional favorites, and local acts across two stages.

The partnership between the City of Columbia, Columbia Police Department, and HRTHUDL is a coalition dedicated to protecting our Columbia community.

It costs $2,000 to equip one CPD frontline vehicle with a life-saving AED. Join us in the effort to equip 300 vehicles!
