Tom Hardy will soon return as Eddie Brock, as Sony Pictures is starting to make the wait worthwhile, as the production company has shared the first glimpse at the highly anticipated Venom 3.
There is still a long wait until Venom 3 premieres and Sony Pictures just unveiled its 2024 lineup at CES 2024 (via Rotten Tomatoes). Although there aren't many details about what's to come in terms of plot, casting, or trailers, the company revealed a first look at the logo for its upcoming Venom 3. The logo resembles the previous two title openers from the treequel, and it might just be a placeholder. The first film in the series, released in 2016, was simply called Venom. However, the second outing, which premiered in 2021, was called Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Following the first two titles, it's safe to assume the first look at Venom 3's title might not be the last.

Venom 3's New Release Date Is Perfect Timing for the Movie
Venom 3 is coming out in a similar season as its two predecessors, and this can easily work in the Sony Spider-Man Universe movie's favor.
Also unveiled was the new logo for Karate Kid, a new film that will bring back both Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan. It was announced in November that Macchio and Chan would unite for a new Karate Kid film in 2024, and that casting was underway for a new child star to play the titular character. No other plot details have yet been revealed.
In May 2022, the working title for Venom 3 was revealed to be "Orwell." There were many interpretations of the name, which could reference either author George Orwell, famous for novels like 1984 and Animal Farm, or Marvel Comics' Orwell Taylor. The latter played a key role in the 1992 comic book Venom: Lethal Protector, and it would make more sense. However, the first look at Venom 3's logo doesn't include any other title. Of course, there are many opportunities for the third outing to reveal a new title soon.

10 Symbiotes Who Should Appear In Venom 3
The Marvel universe has introduced plenty of vicious symbiotes beyond Venom and Carnage, some of which would be perfect for Venom 3!
What to Expect From Venom 3?
Venom 3 will bring back Tom Hardy as the titular antihero, who will go on his next adventure with his symbiote alter-ego, and will introduce a new villain. After two films of battling villains, the Riot symbiote and Life Foundation's CEO in the first installment and Carnage in the sequel, Eddie Brock might face his most fearsome enemy yet. Chiwetel Ejiofor will join the cast as the new villain, and he's rumored to play Orwell Taylor. This rumored casting would be in line with the first rumored title.
Filming for Venom 3 started in June 2023 in Cartagena, Spain, and the film will be written and directed by Kelly Marcel. Similar to the previous installment, Tom Hardy has also shared his input into the story, as well as produced the superhero film. Aside from Hardy, other characters haven't been confirmed to return, but Ted Lasso star Juno Temple is another addition to the cast, alongside Ejiofor.
Although there are no official details about Venom 3's plot, there has been a lot of speculation about its connection to Spider-Man. Venom: Let There Be Carnage's mid-credits scene transported Eddie and his alien symbiote into the multiverse to the world of Peter Parker, and they also appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home's end credits. Although there aren't many details about the film, Venom 3 is rumored to be the final chapter, and Hardy himself called it "the last dance" in a recent Instagram post. Because of that, fans might expect the third outing to tie all loose ends.

Venom 3: Here’s What the Sequel Marvel Film Should Avoid
To stand out from the first two and stand on its own in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, Venom 3 should avoid these plot points.
The third installment starring Sony Pictures' antihero was originally set to premiere on July 12, 2024, but it was pushed back following the SAG-AFTRA strike. Venom 3 is set to premiere on November 8, 2024.
