MEET BUBBA
Dr. Fred “Bubba” Longgrear has spent 30 years serving Georgia’s public schools as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent.
For the past eleven years, he has led Candler County Schools, improving graduation rates, strengthening literacy, expanding career pathways, and building safer school environments. Today, he serves as President of the Georgia School Superintendents Association and chairs the Leadership Working Group of the Georgia Literacy Council, partnering with educators statewide to raise reading achievement.
Bubba is running for Georgia State School Superintendent because Georgia’s schools need present, collaborative leadership. He’s ready to restore trust, support teachers, and deliver real results for students and families.
