My favorite piece of art is the song “Ex Factor” by Lauryn Hill. The song is about being in a relationship that leads to a dead end and just wanting the same amount of love that is put out. I love this song, not only because it’s a good breakup song but because the message is powerful. Lauryn Hill’s song is very relatable, there are a ton of relationships where people know they shouldn’t stay with their partner but couldn’t imagine a world without them. You said you'd die for me! Give to me, give to me! Why won't you live for me?!”. This is her breaking point, all the things she is questioning she does for her significant one unconditionally so it’s heartbreaking when he cannot return the same amount of love. The argument being presented in this song is that staying doesn’t always promise love, dedication and the returned feeling of being
