Air Force One is down.
The president is dead.

“…a fast-paced tour de force.” —Jack Stewart, author of Unknown Rider

Maggie Trousdale has been vice president for only forty-eight hours before she’s thrust into the executive office. As smoke rises over Turkey from the wreckage of the former president’s plane, America demands answers. Nobody knows what brought the aircraft down, Turkey has restricted all access to the crash site, and the White House is in chaos.

But as the nation unravels, President Trousdale discovers a cryptic message left by her recently deceased predecessor. The attack on Air Force One may not have been a matter of foreign aggression. It may have been an inside job, and if it was, Trousdale is the next target.

With crosshairs on her back and no one to trust, Trousdale turns to the only man she knows can’t be bought: disgraced Force Recon Marine and criminal fugitive Reed Montgomery. He’s a violent man with a twisted past, but if anybody can uncover the truth, it’s Montgomery. He’ll need to move quickly because global security is now in jeopardy and the nation stands on the brink of war.

The president’s vigilante may be the only man who can bring the free world back from the edge.

The hero readers call a mix of Mack Bolan, John Wick, and Mitch Rapp headlines this series of political thrillers ready to shake you to the core and keep you reading late into the night.

Uncertain times call for decisive action. Reed Montgomery is up for the challenge.

Brink of War thrusts readers into a pulse-pounding narrative where political intrigue collides with high-stakes action in Logan Ryles' electrifying thriller. From the first page to the last, Ryles weaves a gripping tale that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

At the heart of the story is Maggie Trousdale, thrust into the role of President under dire circumstances. With the nation reeling from the mysterious downing of the former president's plane, Trousdale must navigate a treacherous landscape of uncertainty and betrayal. As the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place, Trousdale discovers that the threat may come from within, placing her own life in jeopardy.

But Trousdale is not alone in her fight for the truth. Enter Reed Montgomery, a disgraced Force Recon Marine with a troubled past and a knack for uncovering secrets. As a criminal fugitive, Montgomery is a man on the edge, but Trousdale knows that he's the only one she can trust. Together, they embark on a race against time to uncover the truth before it's too late.

Ryles' storytelling prowess is on full display in Brink of War, as he expertly balances heart-pounding action with intricate political machinations. The characters leap off the page, each one fleshed out with depth and complexity. From Trousdale's steely determination to Montgomery's rugged resilience, every character feels authentic and compelling.

If you're a fan of books that deliver both adrenaline-pumping action and thought-provoking political drama, Brink of War is a must-read. Logan Ryles has crafted a gripping tale that will keep you hooked until the very last page. In short, Brink of War is a thrilling ride from start to finish and a testament to Ryles' skill as a master storyteller.

Talented, skilled Writer. Action packed thriller.

I really enjoyed this book and promptly bought the next one. I saw this book advertised on Facebook and therefore had the opportunity to ask about the garbage content. A skilled writer can weave an exciting, realistic, thrilling, and interesting story without the foulest language. I do not want to fill my brain with that stuff. It is quite difficult to find movies or books that are more than just fluff but rather are quality, without that garbage. The author actually answered my question letting me know I would be pleasantly surprised, so I gave it a try. Whew! You know how people compliment a book by saying they couldn’t put it down? Haha, in part of the book I actually could only read so much without taking a break from the intensity of the action! I highly recommend this book. And, if you are not offended by foul language, haha, you are not going to miss it. You will be too engrossed in the story.

This book had me hooked in the opening pages and kept me in the story until the last sentence. I liked that the hero was a deadly fighter, but kept his humanity. I also liked the characters and the exotic settings. Finally, I really liked the rapid pace of the story. I never felt the action getting bogged down.
