I am a Friends fan and I really enjoyed this game. The questions vary in difficulty, and the narration by the characters is a nice feature.

Regarding the issues with the keyboard, the keys for each player are indeed very close together. Also, when two players can answer the same question at the same time, it's easy to press the wrong key by mistake. But I guess in time you can get used to the keys.

I didn't have a problem installing the game, although I have a CD recorder and recording software installed. I didn't choose the full instalation, since the CD has to be in the drive anyway, but the game runs properly, it didn't seem to freeze when reading from the CD.

Compared to SceneIt, it's very different. This is a complete trivia game that keeps score and announces the winner. SceneIt is a board game, and the DVD is used to ask questions, and in order to play it as a trivia game you need to keep score with paper and pen.

I love Friends the TV show. I'm sure this trivia game fairly represented the awesome show. However, I have the "pc version" and have tried in 3 disc roms and even in a separate disc player. When I try to play the disc, it says my system does not support it. I tried to download different programs to make the disc run. However, my computer always gives me an error message saying either that the disc in the drive is not valid or that the disc is not compatible. I am not sure about the play station version, but the pc version definately doesn't work for me. I have a lenovo thinkpad, and I also tried it in my mac desktop. The disc player that I used was an amazon disc player.

First, I have to say that I own all ten seasons and watch them on a regular basis with my wife. I purchased this for her and we matched wits over a "friendly" game. The trivia is mixed, some of the questions are hard while others are easy, but the narration by Gunther, Janice, and the Gellars along with the video clips makes it a lot of fun. I do have two complaints with the implementation of the game. I felt like the developers did not take full advantage of modern computing and gaming. The graphics and screen shots are more fitting to a board game. I think they could have "juiced it up" with something more. I mean, when you get a question right it lights a light on the outside of the apartment building ?! WHOOPY, I would have thought that some behind the scenes tours could be unlocked or some more worthy objective could have been introduced. HECK, even the cheesy cheering by the "Friends" on the Season's Trivia Tracks would have been better. This, in the end however, is a personal preference and to be fair, this is a trivia game and not a First Person Shooter, there are a lot of video clips to watch, and some insights into the show are revealed at the end of a gaming session. The second and last complaint is also a personal preference from doing the Season's Trivia Tracks. When you get a right answer it DOES tell you which one is right, but DOES NOT give you the context like the Trivia Tracks. So I end up frustrated when I miss one but do not really know why.

In the end, I can recommend this to any Friends Fan that has enjoyed the Trivia Tracks on their Season DVDs. The price is right to cover over my personal feelings and I still enjoy it even if I do feel it could have been better.

I don't generally write reviews. My main reason for writing is to let other Friends fans know of the way that I was able to get this software to work. When you insert the DVD, browse to and then right click on the setup.exe file, click on properties, and then go to the compatibility tab. Select the check box and change it to Windows ME/98 compatibility.

I don't know if this will work for everyone, but I was having problems like other people, and after I did this, everything worked great. I do have burning software installed, and am running XP.

As far as the actual review of the software, if you are a Friends fan, and you have a partner who is as enthusiastic about it as you are, then you will love this software. My wife and I play it constantly and have a blast every time. There aren't many options on different gameplay modes, which is why I knocked a star off, but it does what it's supposed to do. Give you a fun Friends trivia session.

What was Warner thinking? Installed it on my kids computer...tried to run it...it said I was using a copied disk?? Huh? So I did a 3 gig+ full install and guess what, you still need the disk in the drive. It still said I was using a copied disk, which I wasn't. So I called...you know, the 20 min. wait thing. I was told it was because of the copy protection within the program detecting a burning program on my computer...such as Nero, etc...and you have to uninstall any type of burning program to run this crap. It will not let you run it if you have some capability to copy it?? Let me get this straight, they expect you to reconfigure your computer so you can run this thing? They are dictating what other programs you have on your computer? Are they insane? Hollywood out of control. I finally got the program to run and guess what, it is poor software anyway...not worth anyone's time. Leave this one on the shelf. junk.
