Review

Lananeeneenoonoo was a trio: Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Kathy Burke. They were introduced on the show French & Saunders (in a 1988 episode on which Burke was a guest), and were clearly a spoof of Bananarama. One year later, they actually teamed up with Bananarama for this charity record.

Yes, the 7" version A-side includes all the "rehearsal" material and spoken interjections found in the video. Bananarama are good sports, carry the weight of the record, and let the other trio do the mugging:

The B-side plays it straight:

Is it the definitive version of "Help!"? Of course not. But on its own terms, it's actually rather enjoyable.

The other side (B) sounds like the same as This side (A) but without intro/outro banter. Is quite good!
