feel its a bit off balance. unlike other nodelikes i find it a bit boring too. basically you can afk to your leisure. once you get magnet. or better magnet ships. so dunno maybe take a look at progression/challenge/etc.

This is another game like Reacticore where the gameplay is actually pretty straightforward but it's so unoptimized that you can't even move around the cursor on low-end hardware without major slowdown, making it unplayable. I can play PolyTrack in the browser and a wide variety of Android games in a VM on this Chromebook but I can't seem to play a clicker game because I can't gather resources by swiping past them because you didn't make this very pixelated game efficient enough. Is it some sort of game engine? Was this written in a few days or weeks for a competition or dare?

Also, I don't know why anyone would call this an arcade game. Has the dev actually been to an arcade? You know, with coin-operated cabinets? Because those are meant to keep you playing, keep you losing, and keep you putting in more coins. The original Double Dragon game ran better in the 80s than this browser game runs on hardware 40 years newer and more powerful! And this game is nothing compared to the complexity and real-time ARCADE action of that beat 'em up!

I think "arcade-incremental" game is an oxymoron.

hey, the hardware shouldn't be an issur, have you tried turning "hardware accelaratipn" Or "graphical acceşeration" On from your browser? We tried and it even works flawlessy on a pc that hardly opens ms office word.

nice game to play.

i think its a limitation to your game to have a max to skill lvls and also the pre requirement to unlock skills.

why would you limit the players options? it just makes your game smaller.

i would suggest unlimited skill values and no unlock requirements.

someone wants 50 magnet ships? why would you stop them?

someone wants to let the game run for 4 hours afk and then come back and instantly buy a high upgrade? why would you prevent that?

think about it. :) the more possible shenanigan's, the more game play the game has.

possibly a good way to limit the player but also increase the game play is to, instead of unlocking, to make it difficult to achieve. maybe a minimal income per round or so. a skill check.

We will add an endless mode that will do exactly what you want, other than that we wanted to stay loyal to nodelikes.

Gold ores don't get picked up by magnet bots. Instead they just trail behind them. It's sort of frustrating because even the cursor magnet has a hard time picking them up.

Very polished and fun game. Some things to improve (magnets of course) but otherwise almost ready for a full release!

Fun game. Very stylish. Resources despawn way too quickly. Going from biggest planet to sun went from 10k resources to 2k because drones couldnt keep up. More content required but its a fun game.

The destruction of the planets looks soo gooddd!
Is it a 2 camera setup with the 3d planet on top being destroyed? or how did you achieve this?

Crazy attention to detail, my only problem was that the magnets not being good enough was making me crazy but that kinda is a good selling point to get the full game XD

maybe plain and simply add some magent strength upgrades for the bots the same way you have for the manual magnet? cause when unlocking the sun, i went form 8k per round abck to 1.2k simply cause TONS of stuff flies out, the whole thing is huge while 3 magnets, basically dots, are far away form eahc other on the circumference. as math tells us, longer distance but same speed means more tim till one magnet reaches where another previously was. so one magnets graces by, either jsut weakly slowing stuff's momentum. or even worse, accelerating it woutwards, cause stuff is inside, magnet bots flies past further outside, so magnet gives stuff actually acceleration outward which is enough that it was flown out to far untoil the next magnet comes past and recaptures it. As said,jsut let us increased the magnet bots power within limits. and not sure how you currently monitor magnet bot speed, if rotational speed then it's cool. but if it is based on distance traversed, then with bigger planets and bigger circumference, magnets get worse and worse. so their speed would have to be scaled up too. cause, you know, same speed might make you do 5 rotations a second around a tiny ball but around the sun, you might not make a full rotation in years cause the distance to traverse is jsut too big.

This was much better written than what I was gonna say, though its the same point. The magnet attraction system is just wayyyy off. 

Fun simple game though. Very enjoyable.

at first it was fun. just mining some space rocks and upgrading stuff, what could go wrong? but dude… this game got me addicted. i haven’t talked to my family for a week (we live in the same house).

i need the full version of this game asap. the visuals, effects, and music are amazing.

I liked it.  I think it needs an upgrade that lets the loot float in space longer.  It looked like a good chunk of the sun loot was being lost to time before a magnet would go pick it up.

I saw a comment on one magnet being useless and that's not quite accurate.   I noticed it too, but it's not just that one is useless you have 1 while it's going slow and the rounds are shorter so 1 has less time while it's by it's self going slower than the same one does later on when it's got a partner or two.   It's not just one magnet is dumb, there's the duration, and the amount of trash getting tossed up increases with the number of magnets so that is an illusion that one sucks.   It does, but it's supposed to.  I think it's ok as is unless you want to make the upgrades seem to suck.

We're definitely adding the duration upgrade and thinking of how we can fix the magnets.

My only problem with the first/one magnet bot is that it catches nothing and seems a bit pointless.  Maybe it's positioning could be improved so it caught a few things and not seem like an empty upgrade just to get you to the second magnet bot...

Rethinking this: This isn't a BIG problem, just a slight annoyance.  Not sure it's worth putting a lot of effort into changing it's behavior - maybe give the first bot a lower orbit until you get the second one?

My first magnet also caught almost nothing.  Maybe starting it in a different spot would help, but for the most part, I think the majority of the reason is not that it was one magnet, but that the round was short and there was not as much junk in space and all the other upgrades we got before we bought the second magnet were not there when we first bought the first magnet and were disappointed at how bad it was.  It did get decent right before I bought the second one.  If they make the first magnet too good, then the upgrades won't do anything.  Was I annoyed after buying the first magnet?  Yea, but I would not change it.  The upgrades helped.  Everything else worked great.

When they increase how long things survive in orbit, that will fix this.  I saw it and the answer is make stuff in orbit last longer so the magnets can get to it.  You are correct, but they already said they were going to add in the extra time for stuff in orbit, and this will very likely fix this problem.   Nice catch though.  I was wondering if the magnet upgrades affected the bots.  I don't think they do.

Ok, finished the Demo - Nice!  One suggestion is that going 'full screen' gave you more of a space view around the planet rather than just making everything on screen bigger.

It could be considered but we aim to make it an executable rather than web only

Noticed that the single magnetic bot was pretty much useless (all loot floated off into space before it could get around to it again) but getting the second bot was a game-changer (between the two of them they captured 99% of all loot).

Might tweak things so that a single bot at least catches some loot.. :)

Yeah yeah, we'll definetely take a look into the magnets.
