→Process: Afaik,here has never been a recommendation anywhere, on any page, that the nomination should bold their preferred course of action. This is new and you should at the very least get consensus for it first on the talk page. And, again, that's the wrong section. In te correct section, editors are already encouraged to make their merge nomination clear. And why would this only apply to merge nominations and not to redirection or draftification nominations? Clearly not well thought out. Tag: Reverted |

===== Guided template =====
If you are [[Wikipedia:Autoconfirmed|autoconfirmed]], please [[#Twinkle|use the Twinkle method]] to make nominations at AfD. This template can alternatively be used to manually go through the process of nominating an article for deletion or merging, without having to install Twinkle. However, note that [[#Twinkle|the Twinkle method]] remains the fastest and most user-friendly way to nominate articles at AfD. If you decide to use the guided template, remember to add {{tlxs|AFD|{{var|Name of the article}}}} at the top of the article, as well as list the nomination at the top of [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/{{#time:Y F j}}|{{#time:j F (l)}}|today's AfD log page]].

#*If the {{tlx|Old AfD multi}} is '''not''' present in the tag, then the AfD is likely a repeat nomination, and it will need to be ''manually'' added to the current {{tlx|Old AfD multi}} tag on the article's talk page. Please see [[Template:Old AfD multi/doc]] for instructions on how to format it. After adding the current AfD results to the template, save using an edit summary such as "Appending to {{tl|Old AfD multi}}".
#Remove the AfD tag from the article itself; that is, everything between (and including) <code><nowiki><!-- Please do not remove ...</nowiki></code> to <code><nowiki><!-- End of AfD message, feel free to edit beyond this point --></nowiki></code>. Save using an edit summary such as "Removing AfD tag. Consensus was "..."."
