Notability
editBefore drafting this I did carefully consider Wikipedia:Notability (music). The article contains references to a number of pieces of non-trivial independent media coverage, moreover, the group includes three independently notable musicians Anthony Drennan, Mick O'Brien and Brian Dunning. COI
editI had moved this to the mainspace over two months back. It was moved back to drafts by Onel5969 citing possible conflict of interest. In the interests of absolute clarity, I am a partner in a large law firm where Paul Egan was a partner, he has since retired from the partnership but continues as of counsel. I also, at one point worked in the stage lighting business. I have probably been paid for working on gigs or shows involving a large percentage of the musicians active in Ireland between about 1980 and 1992 and am fairly friendly with a number of them. The last piece of paid stage lighting work that I did was in 1994. Since Paul Egan is no longer a partner in the firm, I did not feel that applying common sense, there was an external relationship sufficiently close to create a conflict of interest.
For the avoidance of doubt, I was not paid for writing the article and do not believe I have ever been paid by the band, the subject of the article or any of its members. Yes, I may have had a drink or two at an album launch.
As nothing other than a possible COI was identified in the article, which I consider is well sourced, relies on secondary sources and is written from a neutral POV, I unless anybody objects, I propose to submit it for review in the next couple of days.
