AI agents promise autonomy, but most still rely on manual MCP configs and hardcoded tools. The new Docker MCP Gateway flips that with Smart Search + Tool Composition, enabling agents to find, add, and compose tools on the fly, all within a secure, sandboxed environment. The result: agents that are not only more autonomous in discovering and configuring tools, but also more efficient, with significantly reduced token usage. Anthropic's recent post (see below) on building more efficient agents is well-timed. Our new features are making it real and pushing toward true autonomy. And it's not just for Docker.
