April 21 marks the United Nations World Creativity and Innovation Day, which was established "to raise the role of creativity and innovation in all aspects of human development." On this day. the World Minigolf Federation (WMF) invites everyone to look at minigolf not only as a sport, or family entertainment, but as a space for creative ideas and unexpected solutions. Can creativity be measured in millimeters of accuracy and angles of rebound? It can – when we’re talking about minigolf. A sport that never stands still.

After a hiatus for 2020 and 2021 due to the lack of consistent international and national championships as a result the Covid pandemic, the WMF has returned to publishing the world ranking list for youth, seniors and general class players.  The 2022 rankings are now available on the WMF website.
