CEO Jeremy Zimmer recently said the TV and film business has to allow creators to be a “little more daring” in their work because “it’s gotten a bit repetitive.” He was echoing comments from one of his agency’s hottest new clients, ‘Baby Reindeer’ creator and star Richard Gadd, who recently proclaimed that “no slump was ever broken without a willingness to take risks.“ This message is being touted across the agency including by Allan Haldeman and Dan Erlij, partners and co-heads of UTA’s TV literary division, who spoke with Deadline’s Peter White about the importance of taking chances in the current environment.
