Hi, I’m Mario 👋 I lead the GitHub Copilot team at GitHub, and this is the first post I've made in five years, because it’s just that good 💯 Last year, we released new research on GitHub Copilot that fundamentally redefined developer productivity, finding that developers are building 55% faster with their copilot companion. But with increased speed and productivity, it is even more vital that developers have great, quality code. Today, we are releasing new research which found, among other things, that 85% of developers felt more confident in their code quality when authoring code with GitHub Copilot Chat. This makes clear that the cohesion of GitHub Copilot Chat – which is now offered in public preview for all Copilot users — and the GitHub Copilot pair programmer not only ensures that developers can build as fast their mind, but that their code is built to last.
