Happy Birthday ! We love this gratitude mindset. Even the smallest changes in language can shift us into joy when we’ve made to serve the hurtful moods of abusive people. It isn’t what someone LETS us do; it is what we CAN or WILL do for ourselves!

It is and will be hard. Many in the VAWG sector are stepping up though including us. Despite running on volunteer fumes - we have set up an online trauma therapy group and continue expanding our online resources. The frontline staff of shelters need to be celebrated too!

It's really sad when an organisation that has long helped survivors of abuse understand manipulative behaviour & empower them turns against them. Transphobia has no place in an intersectional feminist movement. We will no longer refer the women who reach out to us to Freedom P.

Is it really that startling? Our experience shows this is the case. Partners, family members and ex-partners will use society's shaming of women's sexuality & victim-blaming attitude to further the abuse & exploitation. And in many cases, sadly - it works.
