gennyble
Hello, I'm Genny! I've written and maintain a smattering of tools to make my, and hopefully others, lives a little easier. Some of my favorites include:
- Binary file compiler and markup langauge hext
- Raw image processing program easyraw and it's associated Rust crate, rawproc
- towebp: a small tool for converting images to WebP
- Less tool-thing and more fun-thing: textual creates images of text on the fly and sends it back to the browser, with alt text!
One of my bigger projects is a gif encoder and decoder designed to be simple to use while giving you full control of the gif itself. It's not done yet, but it's getting there! There's a bunch of API design left to do as well as documentation writing. Also it has a fantastic name: gifed!
Along with writing code, I try to write some English words about things I've recently learned. Knowledge is meant to be shared and I try my best to share the smarts I've collected whenever possible.
Sponsor me!
If you find that one or more of my projects has improved your life in some way, why not consider sponsoring me? I'll put the money to good use! It'll be used to keep my infrastructure online, purchase caffeine (in various forms) to maintain energy and focus, and general project related things.

SelectThis is how much it costs to keep my online presence running; the cost of the VPS that runs my website and mail server. Sponsoring me here gives more of a sense of security, which is super cool. Thank you!

SelectA nice round number (really, look at that zero!) and over a hundred dollars a year! If that doesn't seem like a lot, just know that it means a lot.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
