Hi!
We have an app that is distributed privately through Apple Bussiness Manager to a certain company. Here is the situation:
The user deletes the app
The user reinstall the app from AppStore
The app displays an error according to which it already finds a database on the phone
Using the device console from xcode I found the the app bundle is not deleted when the app is deleted.
If the user deletes the application, shouldn't all data related to the application be deleted?

If I use NWConnection for a UDP connection, is there a way to get the peer name? Since it's not a stream, data can theoretically come from anywhere; at the C level, I'd use recvfrom which would tell me the remote address.
I'm likely to be missing something obvious to everyone but me, I do have a tendency to look at problems as C problems. π

Hi,
I'm a little newbie on MacOS but did audio development for many years on other systems. Now I started some development on MacOS and tried to get this SimpleAudioDriver sample running. Compilation works fine and when I try to install the dext I'm prompted for my credentials. Afterwards "systemextensionsctl list" shows the dext as enabled and active but the SimpleAudio device is not shown in the "Audio MIDI Setup" and the SimpleAudioDriverApp says the extension is not running.
I already tried various things from "csrutil disable" to "systemextensionsctl developer on" to "sudo nvram boot-args=-arm64e_preview_abi"
My console log shows error entries like this:

Any hint would be appreciated,

Hi there!
I have new globe wallpaper (earth) and it shows only North America and South America. You can turn on the location and when it will show Europe with your location(and blinking green dot).If you donβt want to turn location on, because of blinking green dot in centre or other reasons.
If you turn off location it will automatically switch to American side of the globe.
How to set EU Globe without green dot, or turning on location?

Hello Apple Community,
I'm writing to seek your help in resolving an issue that I have been experiencing with push notifications on my newly created iOS app.
Recently, I have created another new app from app store connect with push notification settings enabled using P12 certificate (Production & Sandbox SSL certificate) and it is in TestFlight not yet in app store.
In that, I am not receiving push notifications from APNs. From the backend that has successfully sent responses to iOS using device token. But from the app side not receiving the push notification. Despite having enabled the notifications in the app settings.
I have tested using the Push Hero Mac app by sending push to my app using P12 certificate, Bundle id, Device token and Message and app receiving the push successfully. But not receiving push while sending from backend server developed using c#.
Same settings working fine in another app and that push notification was working fine using the p12 certificate.
So I have replaced the existing app p12 certificate to the newly created app from the backend to send push notification and it is working fine.
I have used below details:
Certificate: Production & Sandbox SSL Certificate
Port: 2195
gateway: gateway.push.apple.com:443
Mode: Production
I have also tried restarting my device and force-quitting the app, but the problem persists. I am not sure what else to do at this point, and it is becoming increasingly frustrating to miss important updates and messages.
I would appreciate any advice or solutions that you can offer to help me troubleshoot this issue. Has anyone else experienced this problem before, and if so, how did you resolve it?

I have this issue whenever I add @IBDesignable to the class of a custom view I'm creating, and add that custom view to a UIViewController in Main.storyboard (i.e the interface builder).
The custom view does not render in Main.storyboard, and I get the error "Failed to launch designables agent becaise tool was shutting down. Check the console for a more detailed description and please file a bug report at feedbackassistant.apple.com." in the attributes inspector of the custom view.
I have tried all the solutions I could find on the net, and followed all the tutorials I could find for how to create a custom view. I even tried copy + paste code of custom views that others claimed was what worked for them, but the issue still remains. I'm not sure what the issue exactly is.
Among the solutions I tried:
Adding both required init?(coder: NSCoder) and override init(frame: CGRect), and adding calls for their super functions
Adding override func awakeFromNib() and override func prepareForInterfaceBuilder(), as well as calls to their super functions
Deleting any variables that load a UIColor from the assets, because some mentioned that not specifying the correct bundle caused the issue, and I wanted to test if removing the calls (to kill the root) would resolve the problem, but it didn't
Adding an @IBInspectable attribute, because someone mentioned that @IBDesignable had to be accompanied by one at least
Using Xib instead of generating the views from the code, and specifying the bundle to be used to get the views explicitly (instead of leaving it as the main bundle)
Customizing the appearance of the view, including size and constraints, in prepareForInterfaceBuilder(), because someone mentioned that getting the views from the xib doesn't mean they're properly configured to be displayed on the storyboard
Converting from Cocoapads to SPM, because it was a known issue with cocoapads that I couldn't resolve no matter what I did
Deleting the project's Derived Data folder, cleaning the build folder, building the project and refreshing all views
Adding $(FRAMEWORK_SEARCH_PATHS) to the Runpath Search Paths in the build target's settings
For debugging, I tried the following:
Debugging the view hierarchy, but I got nothing
Debugging the selected view, while I was selecting the custom view in Main.storyboard, and I also got nothing
Checking the Console.app for any crash reports, but I found no related crash reports
Checking ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports for any related crashes or otherwise logs, but I didn't find anything as well
All I can conclude is that this somehow and/or for some reason not considered a crash (even if the warning I get in the issue navigator specifies that the "agent crashed") and thus not recorded in the logs.
I know that this doesn't really stop my app from working and I can run it just fine, with or without the @IBDesignable annotation, but designing my custom view would take significantly longer that way, as I would have to re-launch the app every time I make even the slightest modification to the code.
Can someone help me if you managed to get this working well on the latest versions of Xcode?

I saw that the minimum amount of threads depends on the chip architecture, but I could not find it in the metal documentation. Of course it makes no sense to make for example one thread in a threadGroup, but I keep running into the error below when the data inside the buffer is not long enough.

Problem
threadAmount will be 3, then this is the error I get on dispatchThreads... what does this error even mean? If i change the message to ABCD then the error disappears.
Compute Function(example): argument result[0] from buffer(0) with offset(0) and length(3) has space for 3 bytes, but argument has a length(4).

I am pretty new to ARKit/RealityKit and am trying to build an app that would, on an iPad or iPhone that has access to a LiDAR sensor, save the mesh data of the field of view of the seen environment and save it to a document 3D document that would later be used to make measurements as a post-processing action.
For now I am unsure on how to start on saving the mesh that is visible in debugging. I am thinking about saving the ARMeshAnchors and their corresponding geometries and maybe convert the whole list into a USDZ (or similar file). Would this be the right approach or am I going completely the wrong way?

GOAL: I'm currently unit testing the behavior of my UISwitch when it is pressed.
ISSUE: My issue I that the sendActions(for: .valueChanged) that I use to programmatically change the UISwitch's state is not working as I imagined. It doesn't make it change from false to true (in my example).
WHAT DID I DO ?: I'm using the following path:
I declared my UISwitch as true
I used sendActions(for: .valueChanged) for changing it to false
I finally used XCTAssertEqual() to check if it correctly equal to false as expected. (I also could have used XCTAssertFalse() to check directly if it was false.
Ps: I correctly passed loadViewIfNeeded() in my setUPWithError()
QUESTION: How can I test my UISwitch ?? Maybe using UI Tests ?

Hi,
I saw that AppleTV started a season pass for MLS and I'm wondering if it's possible to add a similar season pass to my own app. As far as I remember season passes subscriptions were not available/supported. I tried to look for it in docs but I cannot find anything. I might be blind. If you know something please let me know in a comment.

Hi, we have some errors when we are generating the ipa or xcarchive file with some files from an external framework, in which the error indicates that the file does not exist in that path and we have verified that it does exist.
We have tried several proposed solutions, such as excluding the arm64 architecture from the targets, modifying the skip install value to YES... and we did not find the solution, we reached the point of generating the xcarchive and the ipa, but then the validation failed, since it is not well generated.
Finally, indicate that the build can be done and the app can be launched on the emulator or physical device without any problem.
Error example:

My app, Zero Password Manager, has been available on the App Store for four years and only uses in-app purchase.
However, it was recently rejected by Apple due to the inclusion of third-party recharge or top-up, which I believe is not accurate.
When I asked for evidence, Apple was unable to provide any information regarding their review environment and insisted that I modify the app.
The problem is that my app does not use third-party recharge or top-up, only in-app purchase.
What can I do now? Is there a way to file a complaint or request a new reviewer?

I have been using the following commands for codesign, for two apps in my script:
sudo codesign -f --deep --options=runtime --strict -s $CODE_SIGN_CERTIFICATE $BUNDLE_DIR/APP1.app --timestamp --verbose
sudo codesign --timestamp -f --deep --options=runtime --strict -s $CODE_SIGN_CERTIFICATE $OUTPUT_DIR/APP2.app --verbose
APP1 gets signed, and staple and validate action for it says successful.
However, APP2 fails every time with the error:
A timestamp was expected but was not found
This was working fine until a few days ago but it fails every time since yesterday morning. I looked around and tried following things but nothing worked:
timestamp=none or removing timestamp flag altogether
timestamp=http://timestamp.apple.com/ts01 [and several other free timestamp urls]
removing strict flag.
I'm working on Ventura, and the apps were created with QT 5.9.0. Xcode version = 14.1.

I am trying to create a shortcut which is reading out the alarm clock of my iphone and sending it to HomeAssistant. At the moment I am using iOS 16.4 beta3.

But I get the following error:
When trying exactly the same shortcut in iOS16.3.1 with english language settings it is working correctly.
Furthermore I think there is a bug (even in iOS16.3.1) when german language is selected. There I get the same error as above and after further debugging I found out that it could be related to the fact, that the weekday name from the alarm clock is 'Montags' instead of 'Montag' (which means monday in englisch... ;) )

Hi i'm working on develop iOS custom camera app.
Recently, I discovered that my camera app works differently on iOS 15 and iOS 16.
On iOS 15, the video was recorded without any cropped images. On iOS 16 however, it was recorded with some cropped images as if EIS(Electronic image stabilization ) was working.
My app uses iPhone 11's ultra-wide-angle camera.
I tried the code below.

In the documentation it is mentioned that coreml model with weights in float 32 can be quantized to float 16 and can be quantized to 1-8 bits which reduces the size to one fourth of float 32 model, we are unsure if 1-8 bits quantization is float or int quantization.
