The swc project reimplements web build tools in a much faster language, namely rust.
Currently, swc supports almost all compatibility plugins of babel.

Also, swc has a fast ecmascript minifier which is much faster than terser with small bundle size difference. (This is because not all rules are ported yet, in future, all rules will be ported)

Funds will be used to hire developers to work on swc.

Our goal is to pay for the developers who work on the swc project. 20% will be distributed among major external contributors. Reaching this goal will make developer of swc much faster, as the core team can work on swc full-time.
