Just in: starting today (Thursday) remote work is not an option at Twitter: all employees are expected to be 40 hours in the office. Only exceptions are for those physically unable to travel to an office or exceptions signed off by Elon.

Dare is probably on the money: the team - under the threat of “ship else you’re fired” prob had no time to handle edge cases, testing & didn’t do the phased rollout they did in the past.

I’m an existing Twitter Blue subscriber and it seems to think I now have a blue checkmark but I don’t.
I wonder if they rushed this feature so much they didn’t handle people who’ve already paid $5 for Blue. Easiest would have been to grandfather us in or provide an upgrade path.

Why am I sharing all of this? Because if you actively use Twitter, even just to browse, you need to be doing a data export right now. If Twitter goes down or data is lost, this data export will be your one and only link to the things you find valuable on the site.
