New Releases

Check out this week's new single, album, DVD and Blu-ray releases.

Every week here at Official Charts we compile our fancy list of single, album and home entertainment releases; bringing you the latest music you need to know about. Let's dive into this week's, shall we?

This week's must-know single is a biggie; being the return of the one and only pop princess, Ms. Britney Spears. Following an extended professional break, Britney is back with none other than living legend Elton John for the new single Hold Me Closer, which samples Elton's classic hit Tiny Dancer. Check out Britney's biggest singles and albums in the UK now.

Elsewhere, French dance god David Guetta teams up with Bebe Rexha this week for their new viral smash I'm Good (Blue). The track, which interpolates Eiffel 65's 1998 UK Number 1 single Blue (Da Be Dee) was actually recorded and scrapped several years ago, before it's demo went viral on TikTok.

We also have new singles landing this week from RAYE (Black Mascara), abcdefu hitmaker Gayle (God Has A Sense Of Humor) and Rina Sawayama, who is 4/4 on tracks from her upcoming sophomore record Hold The Girl with the stadium-rock influenced Phantom, which sounds like the worlds of Coldplay and Kelly Clarkson colliding in a very good way.

And we have a upcoming chart battle on our hands, we think!

Two records from two of Britain's biggest rockbands are set to impact this week. Muse will release their ninth album Will Of The People, which was widely publicised as the first-ever album available to purchase as an NFT (although they have been beaten to the punch now by rapper Aitch's debut album Close To Home, which is also available to purchase as an NFT).

Muse have so far reached Number 1 in the UK with six of their albums - can they make it a seventh?

Bastille may have something to say about that, however. The London-based rock-pop group only recently earned their third UK Number 1 album with Give Me The Future, and are this week releasing an expanded new release titled Give Me The Future + Dreams Of The Past.

Other LPs impacting the UK this week include new record by American rapper Blackbear (In Loving Memory), superstar DJ Khaled (God Did) and the first record by Scottish new-wave outfit Altered Images in 39 years (Mascara Streakz).
