I've done it. I've achieved the open source maintainer platinum trophy. There are no open issues or pull requests on Flask , a framework downloaded 75 million times in the last month.

Join the Pallets sprint at PyCon on Monday. I've got a secret stash of good issues to work on. And there will be donuts. The issue list for Pallets is lower than ever before, something I've been working towards since being overwhelmed running my first sprint at PyCon 2016.

Are you at #PyConUS2021? Are you looking to get involved with an open source project? Come to the Lounge and meet some of the team responsible for Flask, Werkzeug, Jinja, Click, and more. We're at the Pallets Project table in the sponsor booth tables in the Lounge.

Due to the complexity of the libraries, I added type annotations to Flask, Jinja, Click, Werkzeug, MarkupSafe, and ItsDangerous by hand. In total: probably 2 weeks straight of work, +9607/-6494 changes. Hit so many corner cases with typing, mypy, and our code, but it's done.
