Open collective is nice because it opens this possibility of being able to receive donations directed to a project, have open reports/accountability, without having to start a company or join a foundation or something (and still be able to join later, if it makes sense).

When we first started SUCHO, we were paying server costs out of pocket. Fundraising through allowed us to ensure that our backups of Ukrainian cultural heritage will remain safe. Thank you for waiving your hosting fees 💙💛 .
