The Apple Independent Software Developers Conference, also just called 1983 Developers' Conference,[1] was a computer conference and event that was hosted by Apple Computer from August 8 to 11, 1983 at Monterey, California.[2]
History
New CEO John Sculley stated that Apple's goal was to pursue being the best over market share. Tim Gill of Quark demonstrated Catalyst, a Macintosh-style GUI for the Apple II series that competed with MouseDesk. The last day, August 11, was devoted to the Lisa.[2]
