OpenSCAD is developed by a small, geographically distributed team of developers, mostly finding time to help out next to full-time jobs and other projects.

Activities of the team include core software development, community management, engagement with end users, website management and occasionally traveling to give talks or attend community meetups.

External support comes from donations and programs like Google Summer of Code and Google Season of Docs. Monetary support help pay for hosting services, travel costs and perhaps hiring development help in the future.
