I'm Heiko, or as many of you know me, @mKeRix. I develop and contribute to open source software for solving problems or making life easier.
My main focus at the moment is on the topic of home automation. I created and maintain the room-assistant project - a tool that brings your home automation down to the room-level. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to get room presence data for your personal home and funneled all my learnings into that project.
