I sometimes use Google Docs, which is free, but it also feels too heavy and…ugly…to me. (Why is it important that my notes look “pretty”? I don’t know. It just is for some reason.)

I don’t miss Quip enough to pay a subscription fee though. Maybe I’ll just build my own Quip clone.

I miss Quip. The simplicity was great. Lightweight UI with just enough markdown features to do what I needed. Every time I try Notion, I feel overwhelmed by it. The UI feels “heavy”. It also looks really dated to me (which is a small nit, but…if I’m using it often…)

I’m a bit sad about the increased presence of Elon Musk in my Twitter feed due to … him being a rich guy … and buying his way onto the Twitter board?

Why can't I pin the channel(s) that are most important to me in @discord? This seems like a pretty crucial bit of missing UX. Some servers have so many channels (and groups). Just sorting within a group isn't enough to cut down on the noise.

Honestly, it's a bit disorienting at first. My intuition is still to establish my own repro before starting. I think I can break from this habit though, with practice.

Working on Replay tasks is pretty wild. GitHub issue has a small description and a link to a Replay session with _annotations showing the bug happening_. Then I just have to fix it. It's a totally different way of working. I don't need to figure out repro steps before starting.

Why is the MacOS emoji picker so flaky? About 30% of the time, clicking on an emoji does _nothing_

I'm pretty new to TypeScript, so this may be a silly question– but is it possible to "declare module" to alias/reference another declared module? (In this case, if you're importing two copies of an NPM package, different minor versions, can you share a type alias?)

The M1 MacBook is fast! Unfortunately, getting it to compile things is hard!
