When running the following code example:
use_debug false
puts current_debug
use_debug true
puts current_debug
...the result is:
├─ true
└─ false
Which is counter-intuitive. We should fix this so that current_debug returns the opposite of this.

Would it be possible to see if you already "thumbed up" a song by clicking on the menu bar button (to get to the menu, shown in the attached screenshot) via a check mark icon or a thumbs up icon next to the "Thumbs Up" option or via a separate entry within the menu (that would say, for example, "Thumbed Up")? Adding steps to beat/bassline editor with piano roll of the instrument you are adding steps to open next to it: piano roll doesn't update until it is hovered over.

Motivation
