"Confessions on a dance floor" is the album that brought Madonna right back to the dancefloor that she so righteously owned throughout the '80s and '90s. Revisiting many of her past works, the magnificence of this album lies in that, whilst it appears superficial, if one listens carefully, most of the tracks have something important to say, and they do this without preaching. From the opening tick-tock till the closing guitar chords, this cleverly-sequenced 12-song set is a glorious return to top form, featuring killer samples, challenging lyrics, seductive hooks, cool attitude, fine production. With no slow tracks, it really is amazing how well the record flows, balancing fabulous disco anthems ("Hung up", "Sorry"), superb electro stompers ("Future lovers"), sleek life-affirming grooves ("Jump"), and sublime chanting hymns ("Isaac"). The outstanding Confessions Tour enhanced sales for this euphoric album that crowned Madonna as the Disco Queen of the 21st century, and went on to sell 12+ million copies in total. Newly-pressed 2017 2LP edition, presents the record cut on 180 gram pink-coloured wax, and is again a limited pressing, just like that of 2005. Similarly, this new edition comes unmixed, another feature that adds to the item's appeal. The printing quality is excellent, the audio is superb, the gatefold packaging gorgeous, which altogether easily make this the best title in the 2016-2017 series of M vinyl reissues.

Editorial Reviews
On Confessions On A Dance Floor, Madonna, the most popular and significant female artist in pop music, returns unapologetically to her roots. A stunning blend of musical styles with one foot in early disco (` la Giorgio Moroder) and the other pointed toward the future, Confessions On A Dance Floor is all about having a good time straight through and non-stop, says the Material Mom, who co-wrote and co-produced every track. For Madonna and music fans everywhere, the all-dance, noballad Confessions On A Dance Floor is a welcome guilty pleasure. This limited edition comes in packaged in special packaging and includes the bonus track 'Fighting Spirit'. Warner. 2005.

200. Groovy Madonna! (2017 LP reissue)

Madonna has always been big in the music industry, but this was the album that really brought her back as a powerhouse artist, can you can see why, the album doesn't pretend to be deeper than it is, it's fun, danceable, but not light or simple, the productions are dark as the party nights from the 70's it tries to evoke. A classic, and enjoyable for Madonna fans and casual listeners alike.

I am a fan of all the hot single's that come from this album, initially I had no intention of buying the album Though after buying the 2009 greatest hits album(celebration) but when I realized 2 out of her 4 hits in the Confessions on a dance Floor album was not in that album I had to buy the confessions on a dance floor album especially for the song "Get Together". That is my favorite song from the album, so I am glad I finally have this in my CD collection. Plus some of the other songs in the album are really good. If You really are trying to get a Madonna album that has a techno flare to it, Confessions on a dance floor is the number one choice to get. Definitely worth the money.

I’m glad I purchased this colored vinyl when there were some still available it was kind of pricey at $40. But I didn’t realize it was a limited edition and a pretty decent pressing no pops crackles or skips and no surface noise! Glossy jacket gate fold the only thing I was kind of disappointed about is it is not all blended together like the cd disc 2 especially on the other hand I’m glad I got a copy before they were gone.

22 years after she first graced the dance floor, Madonna is sending you an invitation to get into the groove again. And if Confessions is anything to go by, she shows the world that she still can dance as well as inspire.
Working with her new partners, most notably the savvy Stuart Price, Confessions is a 12-track segued mix of dance ecstasy. Lead single, Hung Up, amazingly mixes Abba's 1979 hit Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight) with Madonna's and Price's retro-disco fluffiness into a bonafide dance floor anthem. Follow this with the throbs of the electro-futuristic Get Together where Madonna makes you check it out with her as she really wants to be with you. Then, the song fades cleverly into Madonna saying sorry in a few languages before she sends you to gyrate along with Sorry. On Forbidden Love, Madonna morphs into Giorgio Moroder and creates a superb 80s-sounding yet stylish song of two star-crossed lovers. On the Indian-inspired, beats-driven Push, Madonna pays tribute to the one (presumably Guy Ritchie)who has constantly pushed her to her best.
On Confessions, Madonna's lyrics are never overly self-indulgent though short of any major revelations that we don't already know. There are self-discovery, enlightenment, empowerment, love, and lament.
Confessions is a true return to form for the Queen of Pop, something all fans have been eagerly waiting for.
(PS: If you want the tracks individually with start and end as opposed to mixed togther, iTunes is the only place you can find them. The individual tracks bring a different feel to them.)

Beautifully constructed and nice to have on coloured vinyl. It did have a few pops and ticks on first play but a clean sorted this out. Although it was almost pristine it did look like it may have been used and returned. I kept it anyway as I couldn’t be bothered to send it back.

A must have masterpiece!

Madonna"s best album to date. Would be very difficult to surpass such great achievement. Madonna really set the bar high with this one. Top songs all the way through, all so very well produced and presented. One of the best Pop-Dance albums ever created in my opinion. A must have. Will never grow old. You'll never get tired with it. Her use of ABBA's sample in hung up is nothing less than ingenious. Madonna at her very best!

"Confessions on a Dance Floor"
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 16, 2015Verified Purchase
An upbeat, fast paced and feel good factor CD album, "Confessions on a Dance Floor" is by far the one and only album I can truly dance to! I just love the morals in the tracks entitled "Hung Up", "Sorry", "Let It Will Be", "Jump", "Push" and "Like It Or Not", while the badass lyrics from "I Love New York" such as "If you don't like my attitude, then you can 'f' off!" always make me laugh! Also, singing along is not at all difficult, since Madonna's voice is clear cut and she really sounds as if she herself had great fun making these songs, which is what makes me feel happy to let loose on the disco floor (which is in my bedroom). One track that I find particularly gorgeous in terms of dancing has got to be "Isaac"; there are whole sections of haunting Egyptian or Arabic music that conjure up memories of when I used to go belly-dancing and put me back in the mood. I can never finish with this CD without feeling that sense of elation that comes with doing an immense dance workout, which makes me admire her all the more when I see her strutting her stuff over on her Youtube videos (and there are a lot of these), so you have to hand it to this Queen of Pop, she really is an incredibly physically fit woman for all of the dance routines she's produced to go with music as addictive as this! I am well pleased with this purchase; it arrived really quickly and in excellent condition, including a nice little booklet showcasing some up close photos of the lady herself (I absolutely love the red hair)!

Great Album
Reviewed in Canada on December 24, 2005Verified Purchase
Not exactly what I'd call a return to greatness..I actually though American Life was a good album.
This album definitly returns Madonna to the limelight and deservedly so, it's a great album.
On the first listen I loved the first three songs, didn't so much like #4(still don't) and that ruined the momentum for me..but on second, third, fourth and up to 100th listen..I realize how great this album is..#4 or not.
This is a serious keeper and I hope all the best for it success wise.
I'd rank it much higher than the albums up for album of the year 2006.

My favourite vinyl colour
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 9, 2021Verified Purchase
The colour on this vinyl is really nice. I have a couple of coloured vinyl's and this one is by far my favourite. It's the first vinyl I played on my new turntable. It was a great price too considering it does sell out a lot.
