    Top quote: "who is producing that value? The answer is the community." With so much value being generated now by NFTs we should start exploring new models aside from lands, jobs and rent extraction. Time for radical economics and public goods!

    Could perhaps set up a DAO to buy the ape and help Ronan build out his game. 🤔 I'd join.

    Anyone? Open to discuss potential integration so Ape 48 can have a worthy role/symbol in conquest or beyond :) Open to other bids too. Just want this to serve as a good funding base for building a team with plan to release most if not all as open source tool and games.

    Great 🧵, definitely agree. I'm reminded of Brett Victor's talk 'Inventing on Principle', and how "Creators need an immediate connection to what they're creating." The Roblox pipeline definitely does that better than most.

    More morning thoughts on Roblox -- one of the things it's taking ridiculous advantage of is how poor the "regular" game industry's pipeline is. We mostly don't invest in the next generation, burn them out, use them up. Roblox capitalizes on that.

    Thanks for sharing this . We need to find new ways for developers to fund their creative vision, and hopefully lessen these predatory contracts

    Hey , I turned down a pretty big publishing contract today for about half a million in total investment (I'm a solo dev). They genuinely wanted to work with me, but couldn't see what was exploitative about the terms. I'm not under an NDA, wanna talk about it? 👀
