    GoAccess v1.4.6 is out. It fixes a few issues when parsing a JSON log natively. It includes an updated CloudFront log-format to reflect all possible fields. Adds a new command line option `--unknowns-log` to log unknown browsers and OSs and more.

    Wrote a piece on ditching Google Analytics to run analytics over logs, like it’s 1999 (except now with hosted Presto, etc. bootable in seconds from the cloud ;). I also estimate how inaccurate hosted analytics are due to adblocked scripts. Answer: very.

    If you have access to your server logs I *highly* recommend which is a command line program that parses your server logs and gives you useful data in your choice of either an ncurses-style terminal dashboard or friendly-to-non-sysadmins HTML

    𝗚𝗼𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘃𝟭.𝟰.𝟯 is out. It fixes an issue where real-time output could double count a rotated log. It also changes how TLS is parsed so the Cypher uses a separate specifier + adds the ability to set how often it will output to the HTML report.

    Note that 𝚂𝚂𝙷 requires -𝚗 so GoAccess can read from 𝚜𝚝𝚍𝚒𝚗. Also, make sure to use SSH keys for authentication as it won't work if a passphrase is required.
