Friendly reminder: This is my private Twitter account which I also want to be able to read after work and during the weekends without getting dragged back into work :) If you have any OctoPrint related mentions, please direct them at . And use the forums for support.

Just finished reading "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir. Amazing book. If I hadn't had to sleep I'd probably have read that through in one setting, like I did with "The Martian" during a vacation. Didn't like "Artemis" that much, but this one is IMHO a must read 👍

It's pretty amazing when people actually notice quality of life features that nearly drove you crazy to implement 😅

Y'all, I could use some doggo pics again. And cats. And bunnies. Fur snakes are fine too. As are Capybaras of course. Send all the cute animals my way.

Did the modification of the IKEA Vindriktning air quality sensor - turns out to be quite easy! ESP8266 mini-board fits in empty space under the fan. 3 cables to go from the IKEA sensor to the ESP, so 6 points to solder. Code for ESPHome:

Blogged - "Thinking about your open-source legacy" Have you ever thought about your open-source legacy and what would/should happen to your project(s)? Most probably not, but you should.

To anyone who needs to hear this besides me: some days you just gotta accept you need to rest. Yeah, there are a million things to do, unread messages, deadlines. But pushing yourself to the limits can be very dangerous for your long term mental and physical health. Be vigilant.

Notification about a mystery package at the post office. Just picked it up. Turns out that was my Electrical Engineering Cheatkard set I backed earlier this year! 😊

I'm extremely giddy right now because I found my boulder pants again in an online shop. I thought I wasn't able to buy them anymore. Bought two more because they are DARN comfortable and suitable for everyday wear as well 😬

I just got reminded by that our one & only physical meeting (so far!) was two years ago already! Easier times without a global pandemic. Also amazing streetfood! Then again, I hadn't met my partner yet and neither had Guy AFAIK. Not all has been bad about the 2020s 😅

Being able to work full time on your own project, 100% community funded, is already pretty darn amazing. Seeing the daughter of one of your personal heroes explain how to use - priceless. Troy, you just made my day with this post and the included clips!

And this one was my absolute personal highlight because it took me 5 tries & rethinking my strategy (lacked the strength and coordination for a dynamic approach, so had to go slow and static), didn't think I'd be able to do it because strength was waning by the end but I DID! 💪

Shoulder got less in the way today than last week 😊 First round of physio therapy later today as well. Primarily red routes today, one difficult above the blue-black and then yellow-black of the last weeks. Grip strength now the primary limiting factor. Progress!

It doesn't look like much, but it saves me so much time on every single RC, it's not even funny anymore. And yes, I know, I say that on every release cycle, that's because I still dread these and then get a pleasant surprise when the update testing is so smooooooth 😅

Around 30min for 8 update scenario tests. Each of which involved flashing, power cycling, provisioning, creating starting point, running update, checking success. This used to take me around half a day before the testrig. I ❤ THE TESTRIG!

Liebe CDU, ich übersetze das mal in Eure Vorstellungswelt: Wenn der Nachbar klingelt und sagt, dass dein Rollator draußen steht, dann zeigst du ihn nicht an, sondern bedankst dich und holst den Rollator rein.

Botanical update. Biggest Jalapeño and Cayenne are flowering. Moved some more peppers outside but still need to find a (dry) moment to move them into bigger pots. Basil and Oregano still going strong in their Kratky jars.
