Congratulations! You are now registered for your exam. You’ll receive an email confirming your purchase and registration shortly.
Note: Your legal first and last name in your Webassessor account must match the name on your government-issued photo ID. In case of a mismatch, you will not be allowed to take the exam, and your exam fee will be forfeited. To update your legal name before the scheduled date, contact support.
Please see our terms and privacy policy. You’ll be asked to agree to this before you begin your exam.
Our exams are available in English and Japanese.
To request an accommodation, please contact us at certification@looker.com before scheduling your exam.
Testing accommodations are considered on a case-by-case basis and may require supporting documentation. Depending on the request, arranging an accommodation with our test delivery partners and third-party services can take up to 30 days for the exams scheduled at testing centers, and up to 2 weeks for remotely (online) proctored exams.
If you don't pass an exam, you can take it again after 14 days. If you don't pass the second time, you must wait 60 days before you can take it a third time. If you don't pass the third time, you must wait 365 days before taking it again.
Please note that payment is required each time you take an exam.
All attempts, regardless of exam language and delivery method (in-person or online testing), count toward the total permissible attempts, and the waiting period between attempts still applies. If you attempt to circumvent this policy (including by registering under a different name), your certification will be denied or revoked.
We'd much rather award you a certification than take one away. If you need more than three attempts, please use the rest of that 12-month period to build up your Looker skills using the many resources at your disposal.
It’s extremely important to us that you are evaluated fairly when you take a Looker Certification exam. Here are a few ways we ensure that happens:

Since the Looker platform is updated regularly, your Looker Certification needs to be updated regularly, too. To keep your certification active each year, you will need to take a recertification exam during the certification maintenance window. Here are the details:

If you are taking an exam via online delivery, you must provide your government-issued photo ID (see examples below under primary identification) when checking in with the online testing proctor. Check out the hardware and software requirements to make sure you’ll be able to launch your exam on your computer. Before your exam, make sure to test your webcam and internet speed, and to install Kryterion’s Sentinel Secure software.
Kryterion help provides support for all things related to taking your exam. You can find a testing center, find out if you meet the technical requirements for online proctored exams, and run a systems check prior to launching an online proctored exam. You can also contact support 24/7.
If your internet connection is lost, your exam time should stop and your progress should autosave. Looker and Kryterion are not responsible for any unsuccessful session due to poor internet connectivity, low bandwidth at the test taker’s site, or inability to meet the system and technical requirements prior to the exam launch. A Kryterion technician will attempt to restart your exam session, but if the session cannot be immediately restarted and you have been exposed to exam content, the attempt will count and the retake policy will apply. If you wish to re-register, please do so in Webassessor after the cool off period has ended. Payment is required each time you take an exam.
For any issues connecting with the online proctor or technical issues during the exam, please chat with Kryterion’s technical support team or send them an email.
After you start the exam, an online proctor will verify your identity, ensure the testing environment is secured, and then launch the exam. This may take up to 15 minutes. Once the exam is launched, you are allotted 100 minutes to complete the exam.
No breaks are allowed during your exam. Make sure that you’re well-prepared to take the exam in one sitting. Taking any break during the exam will result in a forced submission. If you have any medical condition requiring accommodations, you can request them before your scheduled exam time. Please reach out to support at least 1-2 weeks prior to scheduling your online proctored exam.
On the exam date, you may launch the test session 10 minutes prior and up to 20 minutes after the scheduled time. If you do not launch your exam during that window of time, the session will be auto-cancelled and your exam fee will be forfeited. You will need to re-register and pay for the exam again.
Your testing space must be free of resources including but not limited to external monitors, scratch papers, writing instruments, note-taking materials, smart devices, wearables, food, or water. Please go over the Terms & Conditions for more information.
You will receive your exam results as soon as you finish, both within the exam platform and via email. If you pass, your emailed results will also include your certificate and an official badge for your certification.
Your scaled score is a conversion of the number of items that you answer correctly to a consistent and standardized scale. This model is used so that we can equate scores across multiple exam forms that may have slightly different difficulty levels.
If you don't pass an exam, you can take it again after 14 days. If you don't pass the second time, you must wait 60 days before you can take it a third time. If you don't pass the third time, you must wait 365 days before taking it again. Payment is required each time you attempt the exam.
