    A nearby galaxy’s core will be observed in high-def for the first time. scientists using our Telescope will map & model it in two dimensions to see how gas, stars, and a supermassive black hole interact in this active region:

    Glaxay Centaurus A is pictured with its warped central disk of gas and dust, which is evidence of a past collision and merger with another galaxy. Its active galactic nucleus shows jets emitting from its center.
