program supports a number of Federal research objectives, e.g., the U.S. Global Change Research Program, which address aspects of Carbon Cycle and Ecosystem research from space, with a focus on understanding Earth’s aquatic environment and its role within the Earth System. The program is also responsive to the National Ocean Policy and its associated recommendations, and the science priorities of the U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Program.
