The Augur server is powered by Gunicorn workers handling requests in the background. Currently, when any of these workers encounter an error, it is not shown in the terminal/stdout, and it is not shown in either the logs/augur.log or logs/augur.err files, where all regular errors will always show up. Instead, it only gets written to logs/gunicorn.log, which isn't useful unless one knows to l

Problem

  1. Usecase: Movements that want to collect a lot of new entries to a certain hashtag by involving a big amount of volunteers, often fail, because their silly and lazy volunteers do not use the right hashtag. Pioneers of Changes is one of those examples.

Currently Starfish does not filter out events in personal repositories. Future users may want to exclude contributions into personal repositories (defined here as "any repository owned by the user who triggered the event"). We should add configuration options that allow future users to easily implement their own policies regarding where events will be counted.
