Hello, I'm Josh 🚀

Website Archive

🤨 Who am I

I am a self-taught full-stack web dev. I have a passion for privacy, security, and open-source software. I first learned Java when I was 10 using a free course on Cave of Programming. I like programming, gaming, and learning new things.

💻 What I'm working on

  • mandatum - An open-source Discord bot.
  • Degoogle - A huge list of alternatives to Google products. Privacy tips, tricks, and links.
  • McServerman - A web-based GUI for managing Minecraft servers.

⚙️ Future project ideas

  • garage.py - Old project that allowed a Raspberry Pi to open a garage door using Twilio. I'd like to revisit this project once again.

💎 Stack

My preferred tech stack (back-end) is "CVNE":

For front-end, I use "PSjQ":

  • Pug.js - for HTML
  • Sass - for CSS
  • jQuery - for JavaScript. I'm not a huge fan of the bigger frameworks like Angular/Vue/React/etc.

🧠 What I know

  • Web dev
  • Other languages
    • Java (including Android)
    • Python
  • Sysadmin
    • Linux (Ubuntu server) (including Nginx, Caddy, and Varnish reverse proxies)
    • Windows
    • Security (including password security, keypair management, and certificate management)

User requested information removal

Is there an easy way to remove the information Umami collects? For example if a user requested to have their IP address data removed.
