Today at JEDTA students participated in the celebration of International Peace Day. Their goal was to choose words and images that represent the ideal of peace in our communities, cultures and nations.

Free Grab & Go Breakfast & Lunch Program for all Elizabeth Public School students! Parents are able to pick up the meals at the nearest location to their home.

EBOE Declares Racism a Public Health Crisis
At the Elizabeth Board of Education meeting on September 17, the Board unanimously passed a resolution asserting that racism is a public health crisis affecting our entire country and supporting all additional efforts in Elizabeth, Union County, the State of New Jersey, and nationwide to address racism and public health disparities due to racial inequities.

Amistad Collaborative Progress Report
The Amistad Bill (A1301), which became law in 2002, calls on New Jersey schools to incorporate African and African American history into their social studies curriculum. Since 2002, the Elizabeth Public Schools (EPS) has developed, revised, and executed curricula in Social Studies and Language Arts that demonstrates that Africans and African Americans have played and continue to play a foundational role in the establishment, growth, and expansion of the United States.
