As the application growing, redux state is growing with it. The recent work on the tree page (nextstrain/nextclade#131) shows limits of what redux dev tools extension can handle. The extension is very slow and often crashes, probably to excessive memory use.
We could make the tools faster by embedding them as a component right inside the app, instead of using the extension
