Goresthome
In this repo I attempt to develop a general structure for REST APIs upon which I will base all my future projects in go web development. Enjoy your cake.
To run this application
- Set up a postgresql database with the details found in app/conf.go(or change them).
- Install the dependecies that we have listed here.
- Run "
goose up" to migrate your database schema. - Finally run "
go run main.go" to start the server - To test the API you can create some dummy data with POSTMAN
Dependecies
- gorilla/mux: Install -->
go get -u github.com/gorilla/mux - lib/pq: Install: -->
go get github.com/lib/pq - liamstask/goose: Install -->
go get bitbucket.org/liamstask/goose/cmd/goose - gorilla/mux: -->
github.com/gorilla/mux
NOTE:
This repository is a work in progress. I am not a great programmer but I am a great learner. I will try my best to make this repo a fair reflection of my current knowledge and hopefully become a Gopher worthy of the name.
##FUN FACT: You have probably noticed that I make many small size commits:I am tring to make large commits but at the same I want to make as mant as commits as I make as of now

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
